Accreditation Notice

As the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technologies, we adopt as a basic principle to constantly improve our education quality and to provide our students with the knowledge, skills and competencies required by the profession. In this context, we attach importance to accreditation studies in order to ensure the quality assurance of our department and increase its recognition at the national level.

Program outcomes, lesson plans and educational activities of our Laboratory Technology Program are organized and constantly reviewed in line with relevant quality assurance systems and professional qualification criteria.

In this process, student satisfaction, graduate qualifications, expectations of the business world, scientific and technological developments and the understanding of continuous improvement are taken as basis. Our quality management system; It is carried out with a transparent and participatory approach with the participation of students, graduates, academic staff, employers and other stakeholders.

The accreditation process is not only an effort to obtain a quality certificate, but also an important development tool that increases the quality of our education and training activities, strengthens the effectiveness of laboratory practices and improves the professional competencies of our graduates.

In this direction, our program; It aims to constantly improve areas open to development by preserving its strengths, to provide its students with a qualified education supported by contemporary laboratory practices, and to make its quality culture sustainable with the contribution of all its stakeholders.

What is MEDEK?

MEDEK stands for; It is the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association. The association was established in 2021.

Association; In order to evaluate the compliance of Vocational School programs with specified standards, quality criteria and performance criteria, it was granted accreditation authority for 83 Vocational School programs by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) in 2023.

As of 2025, the association; It has accreditation authority for 111 Vocational School programs.

MEDEK Mission;

To contribute to improving the quality of education and training by providing information, external evaluation and accreditation services for associate degree programs.

MEDEK Vision;

Education and research activities/administrative processes of associate degree programs; To be a leading organization that registers quality by defining intermediate manpower quality with national and international standards and sharing the results with relevant institutions and organizations.

MEDEK's Purpose;

To lead the training of professional staff who follow professional developments, can respond to changing workforce needs, have high professional skills and equipment, are innovative and socially responsible, can take initiative, and have the qualifications sought by the relevant sector.
